Parkside Spa & Sauna

Quiet, low key, smaller size Korean bath house/spa. Warm and cold pool available as well as wet and dry sauna after the shower area. I got the 90 min body scrub and massage. The body scrub from Nova was excellent! I would go back for that again and the mini massage for my second visit. The restaurant food was decent. The relaxing/sitting area was pretty spacious with 2 dry saunas to detox in.

Great place to relax. Very quiet and less crowded. Clean and nice place. Staffs are very kind. I like the food there. Especially 식혜 and 팥빙수. There are only two rooms in there and those two rooms are not much different. That's kind of disappointing. In my opinion, if they add some kids friendly place or some playing thing for kids it would be nice for those who want to bring their kids together and try to have a relaxing time with their family.

I came to this sauna to do hot-cold therapy, alternating between the hot sauna and the cold dip for 5-6 cycles. I usually only go in Europe, but for $30 in the US, this was a pretty good alternative. The facilities were clean and staff were helpful and friendly. The dry sauna's heating apparatus doesn't allow for water to be poured onto the stones, so the temperature remained rather uninvigorating. The steam sauna however is a warmer space, and where I spent the most time. The cold pool's temperature was properly low, and the common areas were spacious, quiet, and comfortable. I'll preface my next comment with the acknowledgement that I'm a member of the LGBT community and thus bear no prejudice towards this group, but I was disheartened to see men pleasuring themselves and each other within the steam sauna, perhaps thinking that the steam would prevent others from seeing them. There are posted signs forbidding such behaviour, but it seems enforcement of the rule is rather lax. I don't fault the staff, though this reality alone is enough to make me never want to return. Before coming, I had considered inviting two friends from church to join me, but now I am pleased that I came alone, to spare them embarrassment and discomfort. I do feel the women's side of the establishment is much less likely to contain this kind of indecency.

I am a regular visitor to Korean Saunas. In Northern Virginia I’ve been to Spa World for years and saw its decline. The newer and bigger (with out door pool) King Spa is good in its own way. Parkside Spa is the newest, which opened in May 2022. It is the smallest of the three. The facility is very clean, front desk staff are friendly and helpful. Entrance fee, food, and spa service fees are reasonable. If you like me, just want to relax for 2-3 hours, this place is great. It has everything a Korean spa should have, which is enough for most visitors. If you are looking to spend a whole day here, it is probably a bit small. The bath area (male side) has a hot pool and a cold pool, a stream room and a dry sauna. The rooms are a little bigger than my gym sauna room. Depends on when you are in, the room can be crowded, like 10 people in the room. Cozy, but too many to me. Most times it is less crowded and quite. The common area is spacious with a restaurant/cafe, two poultice rooms and a ice room. I had the Body scrub plus service, a full 60 minutes of first 30 minutes body scrub, and then 30 minutes message. Both are the best I had among the three Korean Spas in NoVa. Sometimes it is painful to get pain relief.

This was my first time at Korean spa and the experience was fantastic. The scrub and massage package was what I went in for and yet I got so much more. 1st the gentleman who greeted me was nice and explained everything. From there I went into the locker room which was clean, stocked and welcoming as well. Then onto the common area in the out fit they provide. I used clay sauna and Himalayan as well. Both of which were relaxing. Then onto the woman’s bathhouse which was warm, the showers had amazing water pressure with toiletries provided. After soaking in there nice hot pool, I received my scrub and massage. Just wow, my skin has never felt so soft and rejuvenated. Also enjoyed their dry and wet sauna which was finished off with a dip in their cold pool.

Very small….not at all what I expected when compared to my experience at other spas I’ve been to. The admission was very reasonable so I guess you get what you pay for. However it was very clean and very quiet so if you’re looking to get away and relax then this might suit you. I did not eat there but there’s a cafe where you can purchase food and there are other services like foot massages available.

It is open and amazing! Beautiful big steam and sauna in men’s room, big hot tub at perfect temperature, freezing cold plunge. Common area is beautiful, with lovely clay and salt rooms. Ice Room not open yet. Nice juice bar and eating area. Everything is clean and shiny - just an amazing Korean Spa experience not far from DC! Remember, wet area is mandatory nudity, and in common area you wear pajamas they give you.
